Warranty, refund & exchange

At Will Brennan Designs we pride ourselves on the high quality materials and craftsmanship that goes into all of our custom made pieces. Be mindful that timber requires care and maintenance and in the climate that we live in, you must expect to maintain your piece of furniture as instructed. When choosing timber products please remember that timber is a natural living product and continues to move, warp and split as time goes on and this should be expected as it responds to the environment. Please note that this is not a defect, but part of the natural adaptation process.

In the unlikely event of a major defect or fault we offer a craftsmanship warranty.

Will Brennan Designs complies with the obligations imposed under Australian Consumer Law. If there is a minor issue with your piece of furniture, as per Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced. You are also entitled to a refund or replacement in the unlikely case of a major failure. Returns or exchanges are not accepted on custom-made pieces if you simply change your mind.

This is provided that the defect is not a result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used. Your furniture must be cared for in accordance with the care instructions provided. Not guaranteed are any defects cause by;

• Abuse or neglect

• Unauthorised alterations

• Defects resulting from the use of polishes or substances warned against in the care instructions

• Defects resulting from furniture subjected to excessive changes in temperature (including close proximity to air conditioning/heating vents) or being exposed to direct sunlight

• Movement in timber reacting to environmental conditions (as solid timber is a natural product, this guarantee does not cover minor movement of timber panels over time).

The original purchase receipt must be retained in order to make a claim.

The nature, colour, grain structure, appearance and staining of all solid timber furniture requires an appreciation that every piece will be different due to the nature of the product. No two pieces are the same. No guarantee can be offered in respect to specifying colour or grain on the natural hardwoods.

Delivery & storage

Delivery is included in your quote. If delivery is not required you will be refunded for this component of the quote.

Delivery is handled by our employees and we will keep in contact with you throughout the order to organise the best date to deliver.

It is the responsibility of the customer to check that entry access is sufficient for delivery of custom made furniture including door heights, door widths and stair access.

For deliveries in outer NSW and other States (or in instances where we are unable to make the delivery ourselves), we use a reputable transport company to bring your piece. We believe that your piece should be treated with the utmost care.

Unfortunately we are unable to store goods once they are ready for delivery. Goods not collected or delivered within the specified period will require further payments or attract storage fees.
